Imagine my surprise finding out LAST WEEK that I was going to CULTURECON. 😂
I’m just getting back into my content creator journey, so being able to go was really a drop in the bucket for me.
Like girl… what you mean I’m going to CultureCon?!
I only attended Saturday, but I got to see Niecy Nash, Joshua Neal, Danessa Myricks, Brandon Blackwood, and Mayor Mamdani.
Now, I HATE that I missed Olandria and Aaron Pierre on Sunday. Especially Olandria because I wanted to see her BAD. She’s that girl over here. 😂
But one of the biggest things I took away from CultureCon was that I need to step my game UP.
Being around so many creators who are already well into their journeys really put things into perspective for me. Not in a discouraging way either. It was more like, okay girl, there is WORK to do. The creativity, the cameras, the setups, the confidence, the networking… yeah. I see where I need to go.
Oh, and did I mention I got to go for FREE?! 👀
I’ll tell y’all how that happened in the vlog because that’s a whole other story.
