Fall started September 21st and, let’s be clear, I got time. This is my big fall reset: the home projects I’m actually taking on this season, a closet that has gotten completely out of hand, a TikTok-made-me-buy-it unboxing, and my honest fall wishlist, plus the things I already have.

Y’all already know I got my notes. So grab your matcha (or your coffee, I don’t judge) and let’s get into it.

The Home Projects

Before I started, I took photos of each space and made mockups with AI so I could see the before and the plan side by side. If you do not like AI, then that’s on you. It helped me figure out what I actually want.

The pantry

It’s a hot mess. When I bought my house, the builders put in that cheap wire shelving, and I do not like it. The plan is real shelves, more of them, and a spot for the canned goods and my matcha syrups (I do not drink coffee, but I do like matcha). There’s no light inside, so I may add one like the one in my mockup. I’m thinking about $700 once everything is measured. Also, he won’t let me use power tools, so we’ll see how that goes.

The kitchen wall

That back wall in the dinette drives me crazy. I made an AI version of it, and now that I’m looking at it, I don’t even know. I’m going to figure it out.

The living room

My husband designed a little area in here, and he has a better eye than I do. It looks great, but now I’m like, all right, let’s put some more stuff up. New curtains, new blinds, pillows from HomeGoods before the Christmas stuff takes over, and a new rug. It’s probably another $700, maybe less. And it needs a new bar cart. We don’t even drink like that, but it’s more than enough liquor that it needs a bar cart.

The office door

The door to my husband’s office has to go. Sometimes we put the dog in there when people come over, and she’s left her mark on the back of that door. I like the idea of a dark gray, so that’s probably a $1,000 project.

What I can finish before December

Outside of the door, I think I can knock most of this out before December 21st, even with my vacation in November. The dinette and the living room should go quickly. The pantry will take a little longer. You’ll get to see the progress.

The Closet Clean-Out

I was supposed to talk to y’all about this the day before, but I didn’t, so I’m back the next day, baby. The closet is the problem. Fall has hit Charlotte, and I still have summer stuff to put away, and this isn’t even half of my clothes.

Here’s the plan:

What did Marie Kondo say? Does it spark joy? That’s the question for every single piece.

The Ninja CrushBOSS Unboxing

TikTok will make you buy something. But this one is a necessity, and I know I’ll use it. The Ninja CrushBOSS 4-in-1 is a blender, food processor and auto-dicer in one, so you get a quick look at me unboxing it in the vlog.

My Honest Fall Wishlist

Some of this I need, and some of it I saw and was like, I absolutely have to have it. We’re being realistic over here.

Everything I could find is in one place:

What’s Enough for Now

Not everything on that list has to happen this season, and that’s okay. Some things can wait. The point of a reset isn’t to buy everything. It’s to look at what I have, decide what actually matters, and make room for it.

This isn’t the most polished vlog. There’s no aesthetic here, it’s just me being me, a regular person getting her house and her closet together for fall. If you like this type of content, come back, because you’ll get to see the progress.

Until next time! 🤎
